Averon Welcomes Greg Tarr to the Averon Advisory Board

Averon continues its forward momentum this month with the addition of Greg Tarr to the Averon Advisory Board. With a strong background in the telecommunications and automotive industries, Greg is in a prime position to enhance the advancement of Averon’s mission to make the entire digital world safer.

Greg is a founding partner of CrossPacific Capital, founding board member and chief strategy officer at Glympse, board observer at Axiata Digital, and a board member at RX Networks. He was Interim CSO/Advisor at Automatic Labs (acquired by SiriusXM), and VP/GM Asia at Networks in Motion (acquired by TCS). He was also a seed investor in Admobius (acquired by Lotame), Shanghai-based Linktone (Nasdaq IPO-2004) and Smartpay (acquired by Ping An Insurance).

Prior to CrossPacific, Greg worked in venture capital at RVP where he helped draft the original strategic plan for Rogers Communications’ VC Fund. Prior to RVP, he launched Globe Telecom’s Silicon Valley VC operations, where he sourced Amobee, which led to Singtel’s $321 million Amobee acquisition. He was also a senior advisor to Sumitomo’s Silicon Valley VC fund, and architected Vodafone’s China VC Strategy while developing CDP Capital’s Greater China VC/PE strategy.

Greg has unique domain knowledge, Global Fortune 500 C-level customer relationships and startup operating experience across automotive, customer experience, enterprise, big data, commerce, social, local, mobile, geo and security. Greg has lived and worked for nearly two decades in Korea, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Japan, Sweden, Canada and is a native New Yorker. He holds an MBA from Pepperdine.
